Sunday, Inverness/Dochgarroch D
At 4pm we meet at the Glenmoriston Town House Hotel in Inverness and transfer to Scottish Highlander moored at Tomnahurich Bridge. Champagne welcome followed by a short cruise along the heather lined canal to the sleepy village of Dochgarroch. Dinner aboard.

Monday, Dochgarroch/Drumnadrochit BLD
This morning we visit the 14th century fairytale Cawdor Castle forever linked by Shakespeare with Macbeth, housing a superb collection of tapestries, pictures and furniture with beautiful landscaped gardens. We also visit Culloden Moor, the battlefield where the Jacobites of Bonnie Prince Charlie fought the English invaders. Afterwards we cruise to Dorres Bay for lunch and later anchor overnight underneath the floodlit 13th century Urqhuart Castle in fabled Loch Ness where we often invite the local piper to play for us. Dinner aboard.

Tuesday, Drumnadrochit/Fort Augustus BLD
Drumnadrochit to Fort Augustus Mooring at Drumnadrochit harbour we take a morning visit to Urqhuart Castle or with family charters explore the Nessie Museum. There is also a picnic opportunity today. On the way to Fort Augustus we pass through a staircase of five locks, arriving in time to visit either the Caledonian Canal heritage centre where we can see an original ‘30’s film of the Gondolier, a passenger paddle steamer or the wood turning shop in Invermoriston. Fort Augustus also has a charming heather laced 9 holer where the official green keepers are sheep! We dine out tonight at Inchnacardoch Lodge over looking Loch Ness.

Wednesday, Fort Augustus/Invergarry BLD
Cruise across enchanting Loch Oich and moor beneath 12th century Invergarry castle ruins. Afternoon visit though Glen Morriston, past stunning highland countryside to romantic Eilean Donan castle, setting for the film Highlander. Later we stop for a wee dram or cup of tea at Tom Doun Trout Fishing Inn overlooking spectacular Glen Garry. Dinner aboard.

Thursday, Invergarry/Gairlochy BLD
Leave Invergarry for a morning cruise via two locks at Laggan through Lochs Oich and Lochy to Gairlochy. In the afternoon there is a chance to see either the World War 11 Commando memorial, the woollen mill at Spean Bridge selling traditional knitwear and tweeds or the Clan Cameron museum. Dinner aboard.

Friday, Gairlochy/Corpach BLD
Morning visit to the majestic and mysterious Glencoe, scene of the bloody massacre of the MacDonald clan by the Campbells. On the way back visit the Glen Nevis distillery for an insight into the secrets of the various stages of Whisky preparation and taste a wee dram or two. Afternoon cruise to Corpach and Neptune’s Staircase, a flight of eight lochs that is a spectacular feat of engineering. Captain’s Dinner.

Saturday, Corpach/Inverness B
Passengers disembark for the transfer to Inverness by minibus after a hearty Scottish Breakfast.
