Day 2 Tuesday Dec 23
Boston

Get to know the history-laden city in her holiday finery today as you tour Boston with a local guide. See the home of Paul Revere, silversmith and ardent patriot, and Old North Church where the signal was given that the British were indeed coming! See beautiful Trinity Church, Old and New State House, Boston Common and the Back Bay. Take a stroll around the USS Constitution, “Old Ironsides”. Day 3 Wednesday Dec 24
Salem/Boston

Take an excursion to Salem.While notorious for witch-hunts of the past, it was also the setting for Hawthorn’s masterful novel, The House of Seven Gables, and has a long and illustrious maritime heritage. Once America’s 6th largest city, it teemed with over 50 wharfs. This afternoon take a walk through Beacon Hill’s narrow brick-lined streets where the historic homes are decked with wreaths and other holiday frills .Share Christmas Eve dinner this evening at the MILLENNIUM BOSTONIAN HOTEL.

DAY 4 Thursday Dec 25
Lexington/Concord/Boston

Merry Christmas! The morning is at leisure should you wish to attend church service. This afternoon, travel to the town of Lexington, where you can almost hear the shots of the Minutemen, which set off the Revolutionary War. In the 19th century, Thoreau, Emerson, Hawthorne and the Alcott sisters all lived in Concord. Here, Louisa was inspired to pen Little Women. Day 5 Friday Dec 26
Newport Mansions/Boston

Take a drive to Newport today, best known for its Gilded Age mansions built by 19th century industrial magnates and business tycoons. Marble House is one of the most sumptuous “cottages”. Built in 1892 for William K. Vanderbilt, it has original furnishings and is magnificently trimmed for Christmas. The Breakers, designated a National Historic Landmark, is the grandest symbol of the Vanderbilt family’s social and financial preeminence in the turn of the century. Day 6 Saturday Dec 27
Boston

Today tour the Museum of Contemporary art, an extraordinary building with its 80-foot cantilever jutting towards Boston Harbor. The afternoon is for your own adventures or those last minute shopping forays. Regroup for the evening farewell dinner at Oceanaire, Boston’s newest restaurant featuring amazing seafood fare.
