Day 2 Saturday, Dec 20
Indian Pueblo Cultural Center/Santa Fe
Learn about the native peoples living in centuries-old pueblos at the Indian Pueblo Cultural Center before heading out to Santa Fe, filled with Spanish colonial charm and memories of the Mexican-American War. This afternoon visit the charming International Folk Art Museum, containing the largest collection of its kind worldwide. Stay three nights at the HILTON OF SANTA FE.
Day 3 Sunday, Dec 21
Taos excursion/Santa Fe
You have the full day to explore Taos, including famous Taos Pueblo, built before 1400AD and still inhabited by 1,500 Native Americans. At the Millicent Rogers Museum, see the display of Native American jewelry, weavings and the ceramic collection of the Maria Martinez Family. Lunch is at a classic Taos establishment. Day 4 Monday, Dec 22
Santa Fe sightseeing and free time
Sightsee this morning to see the city’s narrow streets, adobe homes and distinctive architecture. Visit the Wheelwright Museum of the American Indian and the Georgia O’Keeffe Museum, the first museum in the US dedicated to a single woman artist. Stroll around the famous Plaza area and the Palace of the Governors before an afternoon and evening at leisure in Santa Fe. HILTON OF SANTA FE

Albuquerque/Sandia Peak
This morning return to Albuquerque. Late afternoon take the cableway to the top of Sandia Peak for spectacular views of the city lights over dinner at the High Finance Restaurant. SHERATON ALBUQUERQUE UPTOWN HOTEL.
Day 6 Wednesday, Dec 24
Anderson-Abruzzo Balloon Museum / Luminarias Procession
See the historic Old Town District, where 18th-century architecture provides a charming backdrop, and visit the Anderson-Abruzzo Albuquerque International Balloon Museum for a fascinating overview of hot air balloons. Late afternoon enjoy your enchanting experience of the old New Mexico Christmas tradition of the luminarias--called farolitos, the Spanish word for “little lanterns”--which were small bonfires burned alongside the roads and churchyards to guide people to midnight mass.
