Itinerary

Day 1 - Begin Calgary
Arrive on your own into Calgary, situated on the banks of the Bow River and close to Alberta's majestic Rocky Mountains. Your Wild West adventure begins when you check into your room at The Fairmont Palliser, a historical landmark in Calgary, which offers distinctive accommodations and elegant surroundings.

Day 2 - Calgary Stampede
Enjoy a leisurely morning exploring the city or taking advantage of the many amenities available at your hotel. This afternoon, witness the best of the best saddle up for a ground-shaking showcase of world-class rodeo action. Rodeo is a peculiarly North American sport, confined mainly to Canada, the USA and Mexico. It developed during the days of the open range. Round-ups brought cowboys together and during off hours they would bet on horse races and contests of skill such as calf roping and bronc riding. Stay and play in Stampede Park, let musicians entertain you at the Coke Stage or Nashville North, take a walk back in time through an authentic First Nations village, or stroll the streets of a recreated frontier town.

Day 3 - Calgary Stampede
Spend the day at your leisure. Perhaps pay a visit to the Calgary Tower for a panoramic view of Calgary and the Canadian Rockies, or to Heritage Park, Canada's largest living history village. Your two-day package ticket is good for return to the Stampede Grounds to take advantage of the skyride, if you are game. This evening, see the heart-stopping chuck wagon races, followed by the Grandstand Show Spectacular in Stampede Park.

Day 4 - Conclude Calgary
Savor the old West experience, as you make your way home.
