Itinerary
Day 1 - Arrive Capetown
Meet and Greet services upon arrival at Cape Town Airport and road transfer to the Table Bay Hotel, situated within the V&A Waterfront. Accommodations in standard rooms with en-suite facilities on a Bed and Breakfast basis. The afternoon and evening can be spent at leisure. The Table Bay Hotel, located on Cape Town's Victoria & Alfred Waterfront, straddles the antique breakwater and is an architectural masterpiece, capturing the essence of the enchanting Cape, the Victorian elegance of yesterday, combined with the contemporary design of today. It is in perfect harmony with the backdrop of Table Mountain, the historic working harbour and the yacht bay.
Day 2 - Cape Town
After breakfast, you are collected at the hotel at 8:30am and are taken on a guided morning orientation tour of Cape Town. You will venture through the streets crowded with history. Highlights include The south Africa Museum, Company Gardens, Parliament Buildings, Castles of Good Hope, Colorful Malay quarter, District Six Museum, Green Market Square, Signal Hill, Camps Bay and Clifton and then drop off and collection from the cable car station at Table mountain. This visit to the top of Table Mountain is weather permitting and cable car fees are for clients own account. Drop off at the Table Bay Hotel at about 12h30. The afternoon can be spent at leisure. Overnight at the Table Bay Hotel on a Bed and Breakfast Basis.
Day 3 - Camp Moremi
After breakfast you are collected at 8:30am and transferred to Cape Town International Airport. Depart on an Air Botswana flight from Cape Town to Maun in Botswana. Upon arrival in Maun, you will be met by a Desert & Delta Safaris representative who will assist you onto a scheduled charter flight to the Xakanxa airstrip in Moremi Wildlife Reserve. A short transfer will get you to Camp Moremi.
Two nights at Camp Moremi on a fully inclusive basis. Camp Moremi accommodates only 22 guests in East African-style safari tents, individually situated on raised teak platforms. Each tent is exquisitely furnished with an African teak wardrobe, luggage rack, dressing table, bedside pedestals and traditional director's chairs. Colorful woven rugs, designer linen and matching interior blinds complete your African hideaway. His and hers towel robes as well as tea and coffee making facilities are also provided to make your stay as comfortable as possible. Each tent has its own private bathroom situated adjacent to the tent. Activities include tracking big game on morning and afternoon game drives by open 4x4 safari vehicle, excellent bird-watching, exploring the Xakanaxa Lagoon and surrounding Okavango channels by motorboat.
Day 4 - Moremi Wildlife Reserve
Enjoy morning and afternoon activities within Moremi Wildlife Reserve. Camp Moremi is situated on the beautiful Xakanaxa Lagoon in the heart of the Okavango Delta, within the Moremi Wildlife Reserve. Xakanaxa is renowned as one of the best game viewing areas in Botswana. Shaded by giant ebony trees, the magnificent Moremi tree lodge is an elegant elevated thatch and timber structure consisting of a main lounge, wildlife reference library, dining room and stylishly decorated cocktail bar cooled by overhead punkah-punkah fans. The large sun deck affords an unsurpassed view of Xakanaxa Lagoon. A secluded swimming pool, covered boma and elevated observation platform assures Camp Moremi of its status as one of Botswana's finest destinations.
Day 5 - Chobe National Park
This morning you will depart on a scheduled charter flight from Camp Moremi to Kasane Airport. Upon arrival at Kasane airport, you will be transferred by road into Chobe National Park and further to Chobe Game Lodge.
Two nights at Chobe Game Lodge, the only permanent lodge situated within the boundaries of Chobe National Park, on a fully inclusive basis. All rooms at the lodge are river facing and are air conditioned with overhead fans, complimentary mini bar and en-suite bathrooms, each with tea and coffee making facilities. All rooms have their very own private terrace. When not on activities, relax around the pool or enjoy the lodge's gym and or treatments at the Wellbeing Centre (Treatments for clients own account). Accommodation in Standard river facing rooms with en-suite facilities on a fully inclusive basis.
Day 6 - Chobe National Park
Enjoy a choice of land or water activities and the most complete game experience in the Chobe area. Chobe is well known for its populations of elephant and buffalo, as well as many other species of wildlife. Game drives are conducted in open sided 4X4 vehicles ensuring maximum visibility, while game viewing on the Chobe River is conducted by small, shallow draft and highly maneuverable boats piloted by expert boatmen.
Day 7 - Zambia
Depart Botswana into Zambia by scheduled road transfer. The drive from Chobe Game lodge to Sussi Lodge should take about two hours inclusive of border crossing formalities. One night accommodation at Sussi Lodge on a fully inclusive basis. Guest accommodation consists of 10 luxury tree-houses, built into the living canopy of giant ebony trees lining the bank. Each unit has a private view of the Zambezi from its own deck among the branches. The main lodge building features a spectacular raised bar/lounge deck, open air dining area, swimming pool and lawns sweeping down to the water's edge. Resident wildlife, such as hippopotamus and elephant, is likely to wander through the Lodge grounds at any time, since in the National Park they have priority. A wide choice of activities adds to the attractions of this elegant, secluded retreat.
Day 8 - Departure day
After breakfast and a choice of your activity, travelers will be collected at Sussi Lodge at a pre-determined time and transferred to the Livingstone Airport for their onward travel arrangements.
